Ten Police vehicles were approved in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Capital Outlay budget as follows:
• Police Operations - 8 Replacements
• Police Operations - 2 Budget Offers
Staff has located eight Ford Interceptors to replace aging units with high mileage and maintenance cost, and two Ford Interceptors to fulfill approved Budget Offers. Current estimated time of arrival of new units is May 2024.
Financial Implications
The remaining funds will be used to offset overages of other approved Police purchases and outfit units with radios, lights, and other required emergency equipment.
