Staff recommends the ratification of award and purchase of one pumper truck equipped with fully enclosed cab, 1,500-gallon per minute pump, 750-gallon water tank and ladders. The pumper truck is manufactured by Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. and offered through Siddons Martin Emergency Group, LLC., an approved vendor of BuyBoard.
This apparatus is being ordered with delivery anticipated in 28-30 months, allowing on-schedule replacement of the pumper at Fire Station No. 2, in compliance with the Mesquite Fire Department’s Apparatus Replacement Program.
The remaining balance of the budgeted amount will be used to purchase non-specified loose equipment and radios, and for mounting and installation of the Mobile Data Computer and tools.
Financial Implications
The contracted amount reflects a discount of $57,599.00 provided by the vendor. This fire apparatus was purchased utilizing Fiscal Year 2026-27 4B funds.
