A resolution authorizing the submission of the 2022 Community Development Block Grant Programs Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Body
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development requires entitlement communities to prepare a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report in order to continue to receive federal housing and community development funding. The Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report tracks progress of how the City allocated grant funds to meet the priorities and needs identified in the Program Year 2022 Annual Action Plan, which covered the period October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023.
As required, a Public Notice was published on November 2, 2023, in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper and on November 5, 2023, in the Mesquite News for a comment period for the 2022 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report. The 2022 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report has been made available for public viewing in the Community Service’s building lobby and on the Community Service’s webpage. The public comment period took place November 17, 2023, to December 1, 2023. No public comments have been received to date.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
