 Title

A resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Standard Utility Agreement with the State of Texas, through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), to receive reimbursement for utility relocations completed in preparation for the construction of highway improvements on Interstate Highway 30 between Northwest Drive and the eastern City limits of the City of Mesquite.

Body

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is currently in the process of designing modifications to the Interstate 30 from Northwest Drive to the City limits.  The proposed TxDOT construction will require relocations of City utilities along Interstate 30 near Northwest Drive along Interstate 30 to the City limits.  Costs associated with utility relocations along Interstate 30, both design and construction, are eligible for full reimbursement by TxDOT.

The attached resolution will authorize the City Manager to execute a Standard Utility Agreement for the purpose of having design and construction costs of the utility relocates along Interstate 30 reimbursed by TxDOT.
