The proposed backhoe was evaluated for replacement by Equipment Services, and based on maintenance and repair costs, hours, overall condition of the unit, and with the concurrence of the Department Director, a recommendation was made for replacement. The backhoe is assigned to the Utilities Division and was approved in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Capital Outlay Budget.

2013 John Deere 310SK Backhoe Unit No. 1302504
Staff has located one backhoe to replace a unit with high hours and maintenance cost. Current estimated time of arrival of new unit is September 2024.
Financial Implications
Recommended unit will be purchased through the Capital Outlay Budget, with all remaining funds being used to purchase residual approved equipment.
