Receive annual ethics training.

In 2017, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) performed an evaluation of all grant recipients’ internal ethics and compliance programs as outlined in Title 43 of the Texas Administrative Code §10.51. As a result of that review, TxDOT requires the City to conduct annual ethics training, as outlined in the Council Rules of Procedure, Section 2:
“The City Council shall participate in annual ethics training that includes ethical rules in all applicable regulations, including but not limited to federal and state law, Mesquite Charter, the Mesquite Code of Ordinance and these rules.”
During the Pre-Meeting, staff will present to City Council the required ethics information.
