Bid documents were broadcast on the Periscope Holdings electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and an Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. Three bids were received.

 

This bid is for the supply of fire hydrants to be used by the Public Works Utilities Division and stored at the City’s general warehouse. Three sizes of Bury fire hydrants were specified in the bid document. The successful bidder met specifications and submitted the lowest bid of $157,652.63. The term of the contract is for a one-year period, with four additional one-year renewal options. The City Manager is authorized to exercise the renewal options, subject to annual appropriation of sufficient funds.

 

Financial Implications

Funding is available in the Fiscal Year 2022-23 budget. This purchase is facilitated by Warehouse operations through the inventory system.
