The City Council approved the Police Department seizure budget amendment at the February 19, 2018, City Council meeting. This request is for the purchase of a Ford Transit Van for the tactical team.
The van currently used by the tactical team is too small to transport a full team with all of their gear and supplies. This vehicle will allow the team to use only one vehicle for personnel and equipment and will allow extra equipment to be stored and made available if needed at a critical incident. The Special Response Team will utilize the van currently being used by the tactical team.
Financial Implications
This purchase is funded through seizure funds.
