This contract covers the construction of nine welded steel plate repairs on a 24” RCCP water main; installation of ~100 LF of 8” water line by bore with four 8” valves; installation of four 24” gate valves, including removal of one; and replacement of two 20” valves with one 24” valve at various locations, primarily along Gross Road.

 

This project is anticipated to begin on November 17, 2025, and to be completed by April 2026.

 

Bid notices were broadcast through BidNet Direct, posted on the City’s website, and published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper.  A total of three responsive bids were received.  Staff has reviewed the qualifications and recommends award of the base bid to RUTS Construction, LLC.

 

Financial Implications

The contract funds are allocated from 2025 Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends that the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a contract with RUTS Construction, LLC.
