Title

Body

The attached financial schedules represent the City of Mesquite’s proposed plan of operations for Fiscal Year 2025-26 commencing October 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2026. This plan of operations is the result of numerous City Council/Staff strategy presentations, discussion and opportunities for citizen input on the proposed budget and is contingent upon voter approval of the proposed property tax rate on November 4, 2025. If the tax rate election fails, then the property tax rate would be reduced to the voter-approval rate of $0.704692, and budget expenditures would be reduced to current program service levels.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
