Beginning in April 2016, Binkley & Barfield, Inc. performed an assessment on a Construction Planning and Analysis (CPA) for Lake Park Addition, Lakeside Addition and Woodstream Estates for water and sanitary sewer replacement needs.  Lakeside Addition Sanitary Sewer Replacement Project has been evaluated for sanitary sewer replacement needs.  The Engineering Division of the Public Works Department has been implementing the results of the CPA.  Bid No. 2024-055 project will construct the recommended improvements for the residential neighborhood in rear yards along Tosch Lake. 

 

As set forth in the plans and specifications, the project is to construct approximately 3,800 linear feet of sanitary sewer line, 600 linear feet of concrete box culvert, and other associated improvements required.

 

This project is anticipated to begin in May 2024 and to be complete by January 2025 under a 240-calendar day contract.

 

Bid notices were broadcast through the Periscope Holdings electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website, and published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper.  A total of six responsive bids were received.  Staff has reviewed the bidder’s qualifications and recommends award of the base bid to low bidder Douglas Dailey Construction, LLC.

 

Financial Implications

This project is funded by water and wastewater bond funds.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a contract with low bidder Douglas Dailey Construction, LLC.
