Title

An ordinance amending the City Code by revising certain sections in Chapter 10 (Offenses - Miscellaneous), Article VI (Nuisances) for the purpose of updating the City’s junked and abandoned vehicle requirements and updating provisions regarding nuisance parties thereby ensuring the City’s ordinance is aligned with recent changes in State law, and providing for other miscellaneous updates as needed.

 

Body

This ordinance amends Chapter 10, Article VI, of the City Code to provide updates to the provisions involving abandoned and junked vehicles to align with amendments in State law.

 

The Legislature has amended State law that provides and make updates to language regarding criteria and descriptions of junked motor vehicles. This ordinance amendment updates language in the City Code and provides for some updates to process clarity.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
