An ordinance providing for the partial abandonments of utility and gas easements located at Larry G. Smith Elementary School, otherwise known as Larry Smith Elementary School Addition, Block 1, Lot 1.
Body
A representative of the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) has requested partial abandonment of a utility easement located at Larry G. Smith Elementary School.
Research of the Dallas County land records indicates that the subject easement was dedicated by plat in 2007 for the construction of a water line to service the school. DISD built an addition where the subject easements and water line are located. DISD has relocated the water main and will dedicate a new easement by replat as part of the building addition project.
Masterplan Texas Land Use Consultants has obtained confirmation letters from the four franchise utility companies: ONCOR Electric Delivery, Atmos Energy, AT&T and Charter Spectrum, indicating they have no facilities in the subject easements and no objection to the partial easement abandonments.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
