Title

An ordinance amending the City Code by revising certain sections in Chapter 9 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic), Article VI (Stopping, Standing and Parking), for the purpose of allowing angle parking in cul-de-sacs and knuckles unless otherwise prohibited, and updating provisions when parking may be strictly prohibited in said locations.

Body

The purpose of this ordinance is to allow angled parking in areas where there is sufficient space to allow for this type of parking and insufficient space to require traditional parking.  The ordinance allows parking based on the size of the cul-de-sac or knuckle.  It also allows for the review of specific areas and limiting or excluding angled parking based on specific circumstances.

Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
