Authorize the City Manager to finalize and execute a Professional Engineering Services Contract with Huitt-Zollars, Inc., a Texas Corporation, for City Hall Retaining Wall and Site Improvements, in the amount of $166,650.00.
Body
The project consists of preparing design plans for improvements to City Hall, the Police Department facility, and the surrounding plaza. The existing site requires reconstruction and repairs at various locations due to undermining, pavement failures, drainage deficiencies, retaining wall structural issues, and other construction defects. Design is anticipated to begin in August 2026, with construction bidding anticipated in August 2027.
Financial Implications
Funding for this project is available through the Capital Projects Reserve Fund.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends the City Manager be authorized to finalize and execute a Professional Engineering Services Contract with Huitt-Zollars, Inc.
