A resolution approving and authorizing the execution and delivery of a project agreement with Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation for the payment of costs related to the upgrade of the P25 Public Safety Radio System, approving expenditure of funds by the Corporation in connection therewith, and containing other provisions related thereto.
Body
The attached resolution authorizes the execution and delivery of a project agreement with Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation for the payment of debt service costs for the upgrade of the P25 Public Safety Radio System. The City issued Certificates of Obligations on May 18, 2026, in the amount of $7,010,000 for this project, and the Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation, through this agreement, will reimburse the City with 4B sales tax revenues annually in an amount equal to the required annual debt service over the life of the bonds. The average annual debt service is $554,452.00.
The proposed project agreement was approved by the Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation Board of Directors at the September 23, 2026, meeting.
