Dunford Renovation Center is being renovated to update the interior finishes and make modifications to enhance operations. Work also includes improvements in the 7,300-square-foot gymnasium including the installation of a new synthetic sports floor surface similar to the flooring at the Florence and Rutherford gymnasiums.
Costs for the maintenance of the gymnasium are shared between the Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) and the City. MISD is reimbursing the City $40,000.00 towards the improvements.
The Ponder Company is an authorized installer and has provided a price quote in accordance with the terms of its contract with the BuyBoard Purchasing Cooperative. Installation will occur during MISD’s summer break (July 26 and August 6, 2021) and the facility will be reopened for school and after school activities.
Financial Implications
This project will be funded by the Mesquite Quality of Life Corporation.
