The proposed Mobile Tire Repair Truck for Equipment Services includes a 14-foot x 96-inch flatbed, Tommy Gate with hydraulic lifting power of 2500 lbs., and an electric light duty crane. This will enable technicians to provide safe and efficient repairs of roadside breakdowns. The Mobile Tire Repair Truck was approved in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Capital Outlay Budget.

 

Staff has located an F550 cab and chassis and heavy equipment bed to replace the current unit, which has aged out and has high maintenance costs. The estimated arrival date of these new units is May 2025.

Financial Implications

Funding is available in the Capital Outlay budget. The remaining funds will be used for the upfitting of this unit with required emergency repair equipment.
