One Gradall XL3100 was approved in the fiscal Year 2025-2026 Capital Outlay Budget. The Streets Division has requested to defer the replacement of the Gradall Excavator for an additional year and instead purchase a Cat 140 Motor Grader, which is more beneficial to their current operational needs. Staff has located a Caterpillar Motor Grader. The estimated arrival for the new unit and attachments is February 2026.
Financial Implications
Savings from prior rolling stock purchases financed with the FY-26 bond sale are available to cover the $24,826 difference in price of the Caterpillar Grader.
