The City Council approved Bid No. 2023-082, Utility Relocation for CSJ: 0095-10-033 (U.S. Highway 80 from Interstate Highway 30 to Gus Thomasson Road), with ANA Site Construction, LLC on October 2, 2023, in the amount of $3,081,232.00.
* Change Order No. 1 was in the amount of $27,200.00 to remove existing manhole and construct a new 5-foot manhole.
* Change Order No. 2 was in the amount of $15,800.00 to add a 12-inch C900 (DR-14) Waterline and install a 12-inch water valve.
* Change Order No. 3 was in the amount of $52,980.00 to furnish and install a temporary fire line and a 6-inch permanent fire line.
Change Orders 1, 2 and 3 were under the threshold of the City Manager's approval authority and did not require City Council approval.
Change Order No. 4 is in the amount of $391,279.90 and is required to remove the existing manhole, construct a 5-foot drop manhole, erosion control, barricading and traffic control, and install 15-inch SDR-26 Waterline as well as a 15-inch SDR-25 with 30-inch steel casing. An additional 35 calendar days will be added to this contract for the additional work required.
Change Order No. 5 is in the amount of $127,706.00 and is required to install an 8-inch and 12-inch C900 (DR-14) waterline, install 12-inch water valve, and replace sod in the disturbed areas. An additional 15 calendar days will be added to this contract for the additional work required.
The revised contract amount is $3,696,197.90 (Total of $3,081,232.00 + five change order amounts).
Financial Implications
The project is budgeted from Water/Sewer funds.
