Body

As presented during the City Council Pre-Meeting on April 7, 2025, the North Gus Thomasson Road Corridor (NGTC) Study will serve as the principal guide in promoting orderly growth, development, and redevelopment of the NGTC and provide direction on a new or revised zoning scheme for properties along the NGTC. The scope of the study area will extend along Gus Thomasson Road from the northern city limits to North Mesquite Drive. The multi-month process will include public hearings, public engagement, community survey, stakeholder interviews, public design studio, market analysis, creating an implementation plan, and producing a final report with recommendations.

Notices for this Request for Proposal were broadcast through the Periscope Holdings electronic bidding system, published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper, and posted on the City’s website.  LJA Engineering, Inc. was one of three respondents. The proposal was scored by Planning and Zoning and Economic Development staff, with LJA Engineering, Inc., being selected.
