Title

Conduct a public hearing and consider an ordinance for Zoning Application No. Z0524-0362, submitted by Mark Seibold of Inventure Design, for a change of zoning from Truman Heights Neighborhood District to Truman Heights Neighborhood District with a Conditional Use Permit to allow a medical clinic, located at 1835 N. Galloway Avenue.

(No response in favor and one in opposition to the application have been received from property owners within the statutory notification area. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends approval with certain stipulations).

 

Body

The applicant proposes to open a medical clinic in a suite within the Northridge Shopping Center. The property is located in the Truman Heights Neighborhood (THN) zoning district which only allows medical clinics by conditional use permit.  Two other clinics have been approved by the City Council in the THN district.

 

On June 10, 2024, the Planning and Zoning Commission voted 6 to 0 a change of zoning from Truman Heights Neighborhood District to Truman Heights Neighborhood District with a Conditional Use Permit to allow a medical clinic.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Following the public hearing, staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
