On December 18, 2023, Bid No. 2024-048, Purchase of Seven Ford Pickups, was approved by the City Council as part of the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Capital Outlay budget. The seven trucks were originally quoted by Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford through BuyBoard Contract No. 724-23.
Before four of the F-150 pickups could be purchased, BuyBoard Contract No. 724-23 expired. Therefore, Sam Pack’s Five Star Ford supplied revised quotes for the four pickups utilizing Texas Smart Buy Contract No. 070-M1. To avoid a delay in delivery and availability, the trucks were instead purchased through Texas Smart Buy Contract No. 070-M1.
Financial Implications
The change from BuyBoard Contract No. 724-23 to Texas Smart Buy Contract No. 070-M1 resulted in no additional cost to the City.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends ratification of the purchase of Four Ford Pickups through Texas Smart Buy Contract No. 070M1.
