The MowerMax is a fully integrated boom mower designed for maintaining steep slopes and drainage channels. It provides mowing, cutting, clearing, and debris removal in areas not easily reached by conventional equipment. Equipped with a 30-foot boom arm, it allows crews to safely cut and remove vegetation on steep embankments while reducing the need to place equipment or personnel in hazardous positions. The purchase includes multiple attachments, including a twin saw for cutting small trees and dense brush, a grapple for removing debris and illegally dumped material from channels, and a blower for clearing loose debris.
Adding the MowerMax to the fleet will increase maintenance coverage and improve response times for resident concerns, particularly during peak vegetation growth periods. The estimated arrival date for the new unit is September 2026.
Financial Implications
The new unit will be purchased through Drainage Utility District Capital Funds.
