A resolution requesting financial assistance from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) and authorizing the filing of an application for financial assistance.
Body
During the 89th Texas Legislature, House Bill 500 appropriated $1.038 billion to the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) for water supply and infrastructure projects and grants. The TWDB subsequently established the Water Supply and Infrastructure Grant (WSIG) Program and application process. The proposed resolution authorizes the City to submit a grant application and designates an authorized representative, as required by the TWDB. Based on the City's current population, anticipated future growth, and identified water infrastructure needs, the City is requesting grant funding in an amount not to exceed $35,000,000.00.
