A resolution adopting the Annual Plan for the Housing Choice Voucher Program for submission to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
Body
The Annual Plan is required by the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). The purpose of the Annual Plan is to provide an easily identifiable source where the public and program participants can locate basic program policies, rules and requirements concerning the City of Mesquite’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, operations, and services.
As required, a Public Notice was published on May 21, 2026, in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper for a comment period for the Annual Plan. The Annual Plan has been posted on the City of Mesquite’s Housing Division web page and is available for public viewing in the Community Services lobby. The Resident Advisory Board was provided with a copy of the Annual Plan. The public comment period ended on June 18, 2026.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
