A resolution authorizing the City Manager to finalize and execute an Advance Funding Agreement for the Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) to provide for school zone improvements with the Federal Highway Administration and the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

This agreement will provide funding for school zone improvements at the following locations:
1. Vanston Middle School
2. Porter Elementary School
3. Motley Elementary School
4. Lawrence Elementary School
5. Kimball Elementary School
6. Beasley Elementary School
7. McKenzie Elementary School
8. Cannaday Elementary School
9. Fraiser Middle School
10. Black Elementary School
11. Agnew Middle School
12. Rutherford Elementary School
13. McWhorter Elementary School
14. Smith Elementary School
15. Pirrung Elementary School
16. Florence Elementary School
17. Kimbrough Middle School
18. Poteet High School
19. Galloway Elementary School
The proposed improvements include ADA upgrades, upgrades to lane markings, and additional signage. Improvements will vary by school.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
