Presentation to Special Olympics Team Mesquite.

The local Special Olympics group called Team Mesquite is an important part of the City of Mesquite’s therapeutic recreation programming and the community. They are active in Texas Special Olympic activities and they plan various local Special Olympic competitions.
One funding program of Special Olympics is the annual Polar Plunge event. Participants raise donations in exchange for plunging into an icy cold body of water. This year the Mesquite Polar Plunge will be held on Saturday, January 21, at City Lake Aquatic Center.
This program will recognize Team Mesquite athletes in advance of the annual Polar Plunge.
