Body

The Police Department has used the WatchGuard 4RE digital in-car video system for the past four years.  The system has proven to be very reliable, meets or exceeds the City’s technical requirements in all areas and provides a complete turnkey solution for the integration of the WatchGuard Vista body worn cameras.  The IT Department has received a quote for a system replacement in the amount of $627,060.00 on a sole source bid from Enforcement Video, LLC.  The new system will offer more in-car video storage, a new camera system with a wider panoramic forward view and a four-year warranty. Approximately $45,000.00 of the remaining budgeted money will be used to upgrade the wireless and core network infrastructure that is used to upload the in-car video.  The improved network upgrades will triple the network performance from the vehicles allowing the Police Department to access the uploaded videos faster and return to patrol sooner.
