Receive a briefing regarding the U.S. Highway 80 Project by the Texas Department of Transportation.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) briefed Council about the east Corridor Project on November 7, 2016. During the briefing, TxDOT informed Council that the U.S. Highway 80 (US 80) section of the East Corridor Project was proceeding faster than the Interstate Highway 30 (IH 30) section and would be developed as a separate project. The US 80 Project is sufficiently developed to present to the public for comment at a public meeting scheduled for March 28, 2017, at North Mesquite High School. During the Work Session, TxDOT staff and its consultant will brief Council on the current project concept and schedule.
