Approve Amendment No. 4 to the 2016-17 Police Seizure Budget in accordance with Title 28, Section 524 of the United States Code and Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure in the amount of $1,294,000.00.

Pursuant to Title 28, Section 524 of the United States Code and Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedures, the City of Mesquite has adopted a budget to account for funds awarded as a result of court forfeitures and contraband, and expenditures from the proceeds may only be used for law enforcement purposes in accordance with federal and state regulations. The fiscal year 2016-17 Confiscated Seizure Fund Budget is amended to include expenditures of the following items:
Body Worn Cameras $285,000
TASER X2 $420,000
¾ Ton Public Safety Vehicles $ 65,000
NIBIN $330,000
Overt Cameras $ 80,000
Glock 17 Handguns $ 50,000
LPR/Speed Trailer $ 25,000
PepperBall Weapon Systems $ 4,000
Sign Trailer $ 35,000
Total Requested $1,294,000
