In conjunction with the purchase of new police vehicles each year, additional supplies and accessories are needed to assemble the police package vehicles. Accessories include Whelen lights and sirens, Progard partitions, weapon racks, prisoner seats, Havis consoles and computer stands for the Ford Interceptor SUV’s. Equipment Services performs the installation of the supplies and accessories on the vehicles.
*The budgeted amount also includes the purchase of seven Ford Interceptor SUV’s and the remainder of this budget will be used in putting the vehicles into service.
