A resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute and approve the Project Specific Agreement (PSA) amending the Master Road and Bridge Interlocal Agreement with Dallas County for the purpose of repaving certain specific “Type B” roadways within the City of Mesquite.
Body
This project will provide for a mill and asphalt overlay on the following three road segments:
1) Northwest Drive from IH-30 to Oates Drive
2) Gus Thomasson Road from Karla Drive to City Limits
3) Gus Thomasson Road from Whitson Way to IH-30
The two segments on Gus Thomasson Road will be completed after the reconstruction of Gus Thomasson Road between Oates Drive and Karla Drive is completed. Dallas County has allocated $447,500.00 for this project, which represents approximately 50 percent of the paving construction costs. The PSA commits the City to match funds in the amount of $447,500.00 for paving cost. Funding for this project is included in the City’s Capital Improvement Plan.

Staff recommends approval of the resolution.
