Consider rescheduling the City/School Joint Tax Office Advisory Board meeting from Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. to Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 2:00p.m. and confirming the attendance of Jeff Casper and Dan Aleman as representatives from the City of Mesquite.

 

Body

The City/School Joint Tax Office Advisory Board, consisting of two City Councilmembers and two Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) School Board members, conducts semiannual meetings to discuss the status of current and delinquent tax collections.  On April 17, 2017, the City Council appointed Jeff Casper and Dan Aleman to represent the City at the Joint City/School Tax Office Advisory Board to be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at 2:00 p.m.  However, the MISD representatives are unable to attend the scheduled meeting and have requested the meeting be rescheduled for Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at MISD’s Administrative Building, 3819 Towne Crossing Boulevard.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends rescheduling the meeting.
