Authorize the City Manager to execute an extension to the Maintenance and Support Agreement for Premier Computer Aided Dispatch (PremierCAD), Premier Mobile Data Computer (PremierMDC) and Infotrak (LRMS) with Motorola Solutions, Inc., in the amount of $187,747.00.
Body
The City of Mesquite is in the process of switching its public safety CAD/RMS software from Motorola PremierCAD, PremierMDC, and LRMS to Spillman Technologies. The “go-live” date for Spillman has been postponed to ensure that this critical software is ready for public safety use before conversion takes place. Because of that delay, and because CAD and RMS are critical applications, it is prudent to resume the maintenance on the Motorola products through the new Spillman “go-live” date. This extension will allow the maintenance agreement to continue with Motorola until staff is comfortable with Spillman then staff will cancel the agreement.
Financial Implications
Funds have been allocated in the Fiscal Year 2016-17 Police Technical Services budget.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends that Council authorize the City Manager to execute this agreement.
