Approve a petition requesting installation of speed bumps in the alley behind Chappell Drive from Gross Road to Embassy Drive.

Mr. James Willingham, 1019 Chappell Drive, presented a petition to staff requesting the installation of speed bumps in the alley behind Chappell Drive, located between Gross Road and Embassy Drive. In accordance with Resolution No. 3-70, which requires a minimum of 75 percent of affected property owners to sign the petition prior to being presented to the City Council, 12 of the 13 households (92.3 percent) have signed in favor of the petition. The one remaining household has been notified by letter of the proposed alley speed bump installation and given an opportunity to express their support or opposition; however, no response has been received by the City from the property owner. Staff proposes four sets of speed bumps be installed in the alley as shown on the attached map.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the request.
