Authorize the City Manager to execute Change Order No. 2 to Bid No. 2016-071, 2016 Annual Miscellaneous Concrete Work Project (Section A), with Austin Bridge & Road, LP, in the amount of $441,537.00.
Body
On May 2, 2016, the City Council approved Bid No. 2016-071 to provide localized concrete repair for street pavement, sidewalks, curb and gutters and curb ramps in the amount of $1,966,047.00. On April 14, 2017, Change Order No. 1 was approved in the amount of $49,974.75 which was due to escalating costs for ready-mix concrete to the contractor by suppliers. Miscellaneous concrete repair is the second step, following pavement lifting, in completing the repair work on the streets identified in the street bond program.
This contract was awarded with an option to renew for two additional years. The contractor is in the second year on the contract but has worked quicker than expected. This change order will allow the contractor to continue working until the contract is up for annual renewal.
Financial Implications
Funding has been allocated for this project from Street Bond funds.

Staff recommends approval of Change Order No. 2.
