Title

An ordinance adopting a Mesquite Comprehensive Plan concurrency amendment associated with Application No. 0517-0005, redesignating the future land use for the area at the southeast corner of East Cartwright Road and Wilkinson Road from Low Density Residential to General Business.

 

Body

At the August 21, 2017, City Council meeting, the Council voted to amend the Comprehensive Plan’s recommended land use for the southeast corner of East Cartwright Road and Wilkinson Road. The amendment is a companion to zoning case Z0517-0005. This agenda item is to consider an ordinance for the Comprehensive Plan concurrency amendment associated with the rezoning.

 

The attachment, Comp Plan Exhibit A, shows the two minor changes to the Comprehensive Plan.  One, removing the subject parcel from the Low Density Residential designation, the other, adding the parcel to the General Business designation.

 

Recommended/Desired Action

Staff recommends approval of the proposed ordinance.
