Approve a petition requesting installation of speed bumps in the alley between Thistle Drive and Purple Sage Trail to Wildflower Lane.

Ms. Cheryl Loredo, 1230 Thistle Drive, presented a petition to staff requesting the installation of speed bumps in the alley between Thistle Drive and Purple Sage Trail, located between Wildflower Lane and alley connecting to Purple Sage Trail. In accordance with Resolution No. 3-70, which requires a minimum of 75 percent of affected property owners to sign the petition prior to being presented to the City Council, seven of the nine households (77.7 percent) have signed in favor of the petition. The two remaining households were notified by letter of the proposed alley speed bump installation and given an opportunity to express their support or opposition. Staff has not received any response from the remaining two households. Staff proposes two sets of speed bumps be installed in the alley as shown in the attached map.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the request.
