Bid documents were broadcast to vendors through BidSync electronic bidding system, posted on the City’s website and an Advertisement for Bid notice was published in the Daily Commercial Record newspaper. One bid was received.
The proposed contract is a unit cost contract. The final contract cost for performing all abatement services will vary, depending upon weather and other factors. For purpose of the vendor, the bid was priced according to the unit costs for the four most frequent abatement services required of the contractor:
Item 1 - Grass cutting on a standard vacant lot (400 units)
Item 2 - Grass cutting on a residential vacant lot, with structure (200 units)
Item 3 - Grass cutting on vacant property in excess of one (1) acre (150 units)
Item 7 - Trash, debris, junk removal (300 units)
Christopher James Lofton d/b/a Edens Touch Landscape Management has a reliable track record with the City of Dallas. The company has the necessary supporting staff and the equipment to meet the requirements of the mowing contract.
The term of this contract is for a one-year period with two additional one-year renewal options.
