Body

The Planning and Zoning Commission met on October 9, 2017, to continue its review of Zoning Text Amendment 2017-03 pertaining to truck stops and truck-related uses.  Staff presented numerous amendments, and members of the Commission proposed additional changes.  Staff is also mapping how commercial and industrial properties might be affected by the spacing and location requirements under review.  The Commission postponed further action until its November 13 meeting.

To avoid the need for re-publication, it will be necessary for the City Council to postpone the public hearing and action on the zoning text amendments until a certain date.  The moratorium on applications for development does not expire until December 29, 2017.

Recommended/Desired Action

Postpone the public hearing for and action on Zoning Text Amendment No. 2017-03 to the November 20, 2017, City Council meeting.
