The terms of four members of the Building Standards Board (BSB) and one alternate will expire on January 1, 2018. A general contractor must fill the regular member vacancy and neither of the alternates are qualified to fill that regular position. Staff is working to identify a qualified candidate for the vacant position.
The BSB is charged with responsibility for hearing condemnation cases, appeals from decisions of the Building Official and reviewing changes to the City’s model building codes.
