The City of Mesquite has an expansive fiber optic network that connects most of its major buildings across the city. The main fiber network ring was built 10 years ago with the connected locations determined by the project budget and input from the various departments that could utilize the advanced services that would be offered.

As a result of new software applications, the need for improved electronic financial auditing and improved building security capabilities, several locations have been identified that would benefit from this reliable high speed network.

Fiber construction cost

1.                     Animal Shelter                     $59,475.00

2.                     Tennis Center and West Lake House                     $43,795.00

3.                     City Lake Aquatic Center                     $30,660.00
