In December 2017, Dr. John Horn High School student Chris Villanueva competed and earned top honors in the Junior World Bull Riding Championship held at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
In November, he won the Junior National Finals Rodeo American Bull Riding title in Colorado.
And in October 2017, he won the National Bull Riding Championship in Amarillo, Texas.
