Receive briefing regarding reception halls.

On December 18, 2017, the Council postponed action on a proposed text amendment regarding reception halls/event centers. The item is scheduled for public hearing and consideration at the February 19, 2018, City Council meeting.
During the Pre-Meeting, staff will brief the Council on reception halls including changes to the proposed ordinance since the December meeting and seek further direction on whether a new or revised ordinance is warranted.
Recommended/Desired Action
Provide staff direction as the Council deems appropriate.
