Body
A representative of the Mesquite Independent School District (MISD) has requested partial abandonment of water line easements located at Dr. John D. Horn High School; otherwise known as Dr. John D. Horn High School Addition, Block A, Lot 1-A. (See attached legal description and sketches.)
Research of the Dallas County land records indicates that the subject easements were dedicated by plat in 2000 for the construction of water mains to serve the high school. MISD proposes to build an addition where the subject easements and water mains are located. MISD will relocate the water mains and dedicate a new easement by replat as part of the building addition project. The subject easements contain no active franchise utilities.
Recommended/Desired Action
Staff recommends approval of the ordinance.
