Conduct a public hearing regarding proposed changes in public transportation.

The purpose of this public hearing is to solicit public input concerning proposed changes in public transportation for the City of Mesquite Passenger Shuttle (COMPASS) service. This is one of three public hearings to be held to receive public input. The second public hearing will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. in Training Rooms A and B of City Hall. The third public hearing will be held during the April 2, 2018, City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m.
The public hearing notice will be published in the Mesquite News and Daily Commercial Record on March 15, 2018, March 22, 2018, and March 29, 2018. Notices will be posted on the bulletin boards at City Hall and Municipal Center and on the City’s website under “Public Notices” on the City Secretary’s webpage. Staff will precede all of the public hearings with a short presentation on public transportation.
PROPOSED COMPASS CHANGES
Proposed changes in the current services provided by COMPASS include:
• Reduction of operating hours to include midday hourly service between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
