Body

The Mesquite Fire Department has identified a 2.2664-acre site for the construction of a new fire station to replace the existing Fire Station No. 4. The parcel is located immediately south of the existing fire station. The property was appraised at a market value of $246,000.00 on July 21, 2017. The landowner rejected an initial offer for the donation of the parcel and made a counter offer of $123,000.00 with a special provision to amend the City’s thoroughfare plan to include a street connecting Rodeo Drive to IH-635. The City will pay all closing costs associated with the purchase.
