Conduct a public hearing regarding proposed changes in public transportation.

The purpose of this public hearing is to solicit public input concerning proposed changes in public transportation for the City of Mesquite Passenger Shuttle (COMPASS) service. This is the third of three public hearings held to receive public input. The first public hearing was held on Monday, March 19, 2018, and a second public hearing was held on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
The public hearing notice was published in the Mesquite News and Daily Commercial Record on March 15, 2018, March 22, 2018, and March 29, 2018. Notices were posted on the bulletin boards at City Hall and Municipal Center and on the City’s website under “Public Notices” on the City Secretary’s webpage. Staff will precede all of the public hearings with a short presentation on public transportation.
PROPOSED COMPASS CHANGES
Proposed changes in the current services provided by COMPASS include:
• Reduction of operating hours to include midday hourly service between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
