Consider appointment of one regular member and one alternate member to the Board of Adjustment for terms to expire January 1, 2020, who will also serve on the Automated Traffic Signal Enforcement Advisory Committee, and two reserve alternate members for terms to expire January 1, 2019, and January 1, 2020.
Body
The Board of Adjustment (BOA) is charged with the responsibility of hearing requests for variances, special exceptions and appeals from staff interpretations of the Zoning Ordinance. The Board members, with the exception of the reserve alternate members, serve concurrently as members of the Automated Traffic Signal Enforcement Advisory Committee (ATSEAC), which advises the Council on matters pertaining to the placement of red light cameras.
Donna Adams has resigned from the Board as a regular member due to moving out of the City of Mesquite and no longer meeting the residency requirement.

Staff recommends changing the appointment of Bryan Odom from an alternate member to regular member for a term to expire January 1, 2020, and appointing George Rice as an alternate member for a term to expire January 1, 2020, who will also serve on the ATSEAC.
